BLACK FLAG My War Album Cover Inspires Monkey in a Dryer's Newest T shirt Design
Monkey in a Dryer Screen Printing Company out of Minneapolis Minnesota, releases their newest Monkey in a Dryer T shirt design. Inspired by one of their favorite bands, Black Flag, Dallas Poague and well known graphic designer, and creator of Eddie Broth, S. Britt, collaborated on the design. Dallas wanted a "Rock" inspired shirt and asked S. Britt to design something based off the Black Flag "MY WAR" album cover. Subbing "MY WAR" with "MY PRINTER". "S. Britt blew our socks off creating this pycho-happy monkey holding a lethal screen printers squeegee," said Andrea Poague. Mayor McCheese costume

http://ping.fm/8oxvM

Full sized McDonaldland Mayor McCheese.
HEAD: Original 1970s fiberglass head. Was purchased by some McDonald's back in the day for special appearances. Not many were purchased, and even fewer survived. I bought this off eBay years ago. It was in pretty bad shape. I scrubbed and cleaned it all up. The cheese was destroyed, but I replaced it with custom dyed upholstery foam (just as the original). One of the clear eye pieces was missing - I replicated an exact duplicate and replaced it. Head is now in great condition with just some minor paint dings and scratches here and there. It's not terribly heavy and I made a custom harness that wraps around the chest to support it. There are holes in the front of the burger and below the chin for fair visibility.

COSTUME: Custom made by me using old original pix for reference. Fits average sized person (5'8"-6"). Glasses are styrene w/ vacuformed lenses. Shoes are size 10, but could be replaced easily with any common patent leather shoes.

WEARING IT OUT: The costume is actually fairly comfortable to wear. With the harness inside holding the head, there is little weight on your shoulders. Visibility is fair, but it's a good idea to have a handler with you at all times. There is a lot of space inside the head, so you don't get too much of a claustrophobic feeling.

SHIPPING: Due to the enormous size of the head, shipping would be $100. SORRY, NO FOREIGN ORDERS! Local pick up is fine (I'm in Minneapolis). And for a fee, I'd be willing to "meet you halfway" if you are in the midwest.

I had a lot of fun refurbishing this head, creating the costume and wearing it out in public but it's time to pass it on. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Be the hit of the next costume party or convention!

Monkey in a dryer collaborates with Illustrator S Britt on Eddie Broth Doll

Screen Printer Dallas Poague of Monkey in a Dryer and S. Britt, Portland Oregon-based graphic illustrator and creator of well known character Eddie Broth, joined forces to create the new Eddie Broth Doll.

S. Britt, famous for his graphic illustrations and his often misunderstood alter ego Eddie Broth, had asked Dallas Poague, owner of a unique screen printing company, Monkey in a Dryer, to collaborate on bringing the Eddie Broth Doll to life. These two artist, brought together by an appreciation for vintage toys and graphics, both have similar design tastes that meshed well on the creation of this toy.

This comical and cuddly doll is just the thing for you to play with, sleep with and love forever. So much like a real friend, you’ll hardly notice the difference. Looks and smells just like an actual orphan! Eddy has a soft cotton body, a big happy smile and several outstanding warrants. Each wears a bright felt t-shirt featuring one of three delightful phrases and one sad cry for help. Give him a hug but never turn your back on him. Wouldn’t you like a friend like Eddy?
